Robinson Ear's Little Whirled of Sound
At its largest, the Ear Machine included a five-piece string section, guitar, bass, organ, drums, a saxophone or two, and a chorus of female vocalists. But even when Halverson dismissed some portion of his crew and augmented his charismatic crooning and bluesy guitar with only the rhythm section and a singer or two, the results were equally powerful.
