DiverseArts is happy to announce the opening of our season of cultural events and live music at Kenny Dorham’s Backyard. Gearing up for East End 4th Fridays! and our Summer Music Series, the season will be full of exciting shows co-produced with other cultural organizations and nonprofits. Our first events of the season happen March 13th-15th. Thursday, March 13th, we host The Super Duper Day Show, a showcase of local rock, blues, indie, electronic, and experimental bands. This free show is for all ages and will be one that you won't want to miss. So come out for a day of Austin's finest for free. • Sea Fields of Elephants Friday we host Vice Saves Texas, an all day showcase ofinternational rock bands brought to Austin by Vice Magazine and Vice Records. We close the week Saturday with Austin Blues Showcase, a production featuring Austin’s finest blues and R&B acts. • Michael Holt & Trophy 500 This show is what we hope will be the first of many collaborations with the Austin Blues Society. The weekend will be a series of quality events with good food, cold drinks, and fun times. We hope to see you there! |
