In honor of Halloween and Día de los muertos, DiverseArts brings you a dark and funky Fourth Friday, full of soul-searching sounds and bone-rattling beats...

The Notorious Lavelle White (the artist formerly known as "Miss" Lavelle White) headlines the show at 9pm with with a sassy soul that's sure to bring a few folks out of the woodwork...if not out of their graves...muahahaha...she's sure to pump a groove for those who go bump in the night....

But be sure to arrive before the sun goes down!
 
Opening up for Lavelle is Austin's improvisational electronica band, the Clouds.  The Clouds will be mixing horror movie audio in real-time with laptop, turntables, and electro-acoustic instruments.  Their sounds range from hip-hop and house, to dub reggae and drum  'n' bass. 

Bring the kids!  Wear a costume!  We'll have plenty of tricks and treats on hand.  (But beware the ghost of Kenny Dorham...)

As always, Gene's Po' Boys will be serving up some fine creole eats.  And there will be free witches' brew from Live Oak Brewery...
