A Fundraiser for East Austin's Outdoor Cultural Arts Venue. Raising Money for Landscape and Stage Improvements, Programming.

The African American Cultural Heritage District is an important component of East Austin's appeal. Not only does it encourage new foot traffic for local businesses, but it also services and enhances community life within it's neighborhood.  

Diverse Arts, a cultural arts non-profit, and their East 11th Street performance venue and gardens, Kenny Dorham's Backyard are both neighborhood staples.  DiverseArts brings diverse cultural programming and an outdoor community event space, servicing the East Side community. 

DiverseArts is set to raise $18,000 over the next month for Kenny Dorham's site improvements. 

Funds will go to building an attractive fence for Kenny Dorham's Backyard, and also to improve landscaping, stage, art installations, and also to continue work on its community garden project, to better serve the neighborhood residents and churches.
