The Clarksville Jazz Sessions continue each Wednesday night, 8:00-10:00pm, at Cipollina Italian Grill. Harold McMillan and Martin Banks host an evening of jazz standards, blues, and ballads featuring live performances by some of Austin's best vocalists and instrumental soloists. Past special guests and featured soloists include Steve Geraci, Suzy Stern, Hope Morgan, Rich Harney, Marty Allen, Glen Rexach and others.

This series is part of DiverseArts ongoing mission to present jazz programming to Austin audiences and provide performance opportunities for local artists. Cipollina provides an intimate, comfortable setting for listening, dining, and up-close interaction between artists and audience. Early performance hours make these Wednesday evenings highly accessible -- great for a night of listening and fine dining, a first stop for a night on the town, and perfect for those who have to go to work or school the next day.

The hallmark of the series is, for the first time, neighborhood residents will not have to leave Clarksville in order to experience our city's live music cultural offerings. For McMillan, who 15 years ago founded the Clarksville Jazz and Arts Festival, this series is simply an extension of his original vision: to regularly produce live jazz in the heart of one of Austin's most diverse and unique
neighborhoods.
