Cyril Neville and Big Chief Kevin Goodman will be featured performers at Project Chumbo's First Annual Chumbofest. After Hurricane Katrina thousands of people from New Orleans found themselves making a new life here in Austin. As one might expect from two musical cities like Austin and New Orleans, the musicians are playing together and new things are happening. or as Cyril says "The Gumbo has spilled over into the Chili!". Hence CHUMBO.
Check out Austin's Big Chief Kevin Goodman and the Flaming Arrow Mardi Gras Indians, The Austin Nights Brass Band and Cyril Neville with Tribe 13 (Cyril's latest album "Brand New Blues" is up for a Grammy!). You can also enjoy authentic New Orleans cuisine as only someone from New Orleans can make it. They'll be some chili too!  Come show your support for this great project while being a part of history, Austin's First Annual Chumbofest. Chili in the Gumbo!
